Bay Self Storage is a family owned and operated (3 generations) facility that opened in 2002 to provide a secure storage facility for the western region of the Halifax Regional Municipality. We are conveniently located just 15 minutes from Halifax (10 minutes from Bayers Lake) with easy access to Highway 103.

The facility has expanded to meet the needs of our residential and commercial customers, including nearly 240 drive up access heated and unheated storage units, as well as an expansive outside parking area of 100 plus units for automobiles, boats, RV's and trailers, all within our secure compound.

We pride ourselves on our personal approach towards all our customers, striving to exceed their expectations. In addition to providing a secure, convenient and easily accessible storage facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we offer a range of locks, boxes and packing supplies to make us your one-stop storage solution.

What hours can I access my storage unit?

You have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Do you use access cards or keypads for gate entry?

We provide you with one access card for every unit you rent, plus you can download an app for your smartphone.

Do you have indoor storage for RVs and boats?

If your RV or boat will fit through a 6 ft 6 inch high door, 8 ft wide, you can rent an inside unheated storage unit. Please refer to the self storage menu.

I have a cargo trailer I would like to store. Is that acceptable?

Enclosed / cargo trailers can not be stored on site.
